🔍 Hiring: Financial Crimes Specialist 2
We are currently hiring Financial Crimes Specialists for a contract-to-hire opportunity based in Minneapolis, MN . This is a great opportunity for professionals with a background in risk, compliance, fraud investigations, or law enforcement looking to grow in the financial services space.
📍 Location: Minneapolis, MN - 55415 (Hybrid)
💼 Duration: 6-month contract to hire
💰 Pay Rate: $31-$32.50/hr.
🏢 Work Model: 100% onsite during training, then hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and analyze complex financial crimes, suspicious activities, and policy violations
- Conduct research using investigative techniques to determine risk, liability, and impact
- Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies across transactions and customer relationships
- Prepare documentation and escalate cases (e.g., suspicious activity reporting)
- Collaborate with internal teams to mitigate risks and improve processes
- Support fraud prevention strategies, audits, and compliance initiatives
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in financial crimes, fraud investigations, compliance, operational risk, law enforcement, or military
- Minimum 1.5 years required to be considered for this role
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field preferred
Nice to Have:
- Experience in banking or financial fraud investigations
- Experience writing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
