About This Role
This senior role involves analyzing and evaluating information related to money laundering and terrorist financing risks, and implementing effective measures in this area. The position is for an experienced professional to contribute to the development and effectiveness of the bank's AML system.
Responsibilities
- Participate in evaluating the effectiveness and development of the bank's AML system and other systems to ensure proper fulfillment of obligations related to AML/CFT issues
- Review, transform, and harmonize internal processes and methodological procedures according to new directly applicable EU regulations (AMLR) and standards issued by the AMLA authority
- Cooperate on the implementation and fine-tuning of new automated systems for transaction monitoring and client screening with regard to new EU technological standards (RTS)
- Prepare opinions on client acceptability
- Communicate with regulators (FAÚ, ČNB) and correspondent banks
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in a banking environment and AML area
- Very good knowledge of AML regulatory framework and an overview of methods and technologies used in AML/CFT
- Ideally, legal or economic education
- Ability to work independently
- Analytical thinking
- Good work with publicly available sources
