Animator

About This Role

This role is for an expert animator who is passionate about design, aesthetics, and craft, and who possesses a firm grasp of animation techniques, fundamentals, and software. The Animator will collaborate with clients and the production team to understand project needs, create storyboards and animations, and assist in the editing process.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and production team members to understand needs, review scripts, design storyboards, and create and edit animations
• Use software and other techniques to produce animations
• Listen to feedback and alter animations to better suit client needs
• Ensure that the final product aligns with the needs of the client and is delivered on time without exceeding the budget
• Present the final animated piece to clients for their approval
• Use creativity and artistic techniques to tell a story or provide information in visual form
• Research industry trends and developments and learn new applications
• Effectively manage multiple project requests
• Understand the strategic thinking that has gone into a brief, debate, and contribute to it
• Sell creative concepts and executions internally
• Build strong relationships with Account Management, Planning & Traffic
• Present ideas clearly, succinctly, and passionately
• Deal effectively with clients on a day-to-day level
• Display meticulously well-designed animation
• Possess good knowledge of creative formats (above and below the line)
• Read through scripts and speak with clients to understand project needs
• Assist in the editing process
• Recognize and value work done well

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or certificate in computer animation, fine arts, graphic design, or a related field
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and computer skills
• Understanding of animation, storytelling, and character development techniques
• Attention to detail, adaptability, and receptiveness to feedback and direction
• Ability to work independently or with a team to develop animations and solve problems
