Angular Engineer / Front-End Developer
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Location: McLean, VA preferred; Chicago, IL or New York, NY; strong remote candidates will also be considered
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Angular Engineer / Front-End Developer to support technology initiatives focused on personal lending . This is a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where the engineer may work across different teams and initiatives based on evolving business priorities.
The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on Angular developer who can take technical ownership, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and quickly adapt to new projects and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using Angular and TypeScript .
- Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable UI components.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Take ownership of technical solutions from design through implementation and delivery.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to front-end development standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance and reliability.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and contribute across multiple teams or initiatives.
- Ensure applications follow appropriate UI, accessibility, security, and development best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Angular .
- Strong TypeScript and modern front-end development experience.
- Experience building production-quality user interfaces and web applications.
- Strong technical ownership or lead-level development experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI coding tools or AI development agents .
- Experience in financial services, banking, lending, or personal loans .
- Experience with RxJS and reactive programming.
- Experience working with modern UI design and front-end development practices.
Interview Process
The interview will be approximately 1 hour and will include a combination of:
- Coding assessment
- Angular/technical discussion
- Behavioral questions
- Panel discussion
Location
McLean, VA is preferred, followed by Chicago, IL or New York, NY . Strong remote candidates may also be considered.
