About This Role
Developing and maintaining Android applications using Kotlin is the core of this role, which requires a strong understanding of programming fundamentals, Android development, and problem-solving. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of Kotlin syntax, functions, classes, collections, null safety, and object-oriented programming
- Work with Android components, Activity and Fragment lifecycles, intents, layouts, and application architecture
- Implement REST API integrations, handle JSON responses, and manage errors appropriately
- Understand asynchronous programming using Kotlin Coroutines
- Debug issues independently and explain the root cause of bugs
- Use Git for version control and collaborate effectively with the team
- Understand existing code before modifying it
- Write code independently and use documentation and other learning resources responsibly
Requirements
- Practical understanding of Kotlin fundamentals: variables, data types, operators, loops, conditionals, functions, classes, objects, constructors, inheritance, interfaces, abstract classes, object-oriented programming principles, null safety, collections, lambdas, higher-order functions, basic exception handling, and debugging
- Practical understanding of Android development: Activity and Fragment lifecycles, intents, UI layouts, event handling, RecyclerView or modern list-building approaches, API integration and JSON parsing, basic understanding of Kotlin Coroutines and background operations, familiarity with Android Studio, Gradle, and Git
- Ability to explain own code and reason through problems independently
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take ownership of work

Important Details
- Probation period: 1 month at ₹15,000, followed by 1 month at ₹23,000
