About This Role
Developing native Android applications using Kotlin is the core of this role, which involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern Android architecture and the ability to build high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin
- Build responsive, user-friendly, and high-performance mobile applications
- Implement modern Android development practices and architecture patterns
- Integrate REST APIs and third-party services into Android applications
- Work with backend developers to ensure seamless API integration and data exchange
- Implement authentication, authorization, local data storage, and secure data handling
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application bugs and performance issues
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews
- Publish application updates and maintain existing applications
- Stay updated with the latest Android development tools, libraries, and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in native Android application development
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin
- Good understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and Android application lifecycle
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP communication
- Knowledge of Android Jetpack components, including ViewModel, LiveData or StateFlow, and Navigation
- Experience with Kotlin Coroutines and asynchronous programming
- Familiarity with MVVM or other suitable Android architecture patterns
- Experience with Android app debugging, profiling, and performance optimization
- Knowledge of local data storage using Room, SQLite, or DataStore
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- Understanding of Material Design and mobile UI/UX principles
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with Jetpack Compose
- Familiarity with Dependency Injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger
- Experience with Firebase services and push notifications
- Knowledge of offline-first application development and data synchronization
- Experience with secure authentication, token management, and mobile application security
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
