About This Role
This Android Developer role involves working on a mobile application used by millions of traders and investors globally. The product handles high data loads, real-time updates, complex UI states, and has strict performance and reliability requirements. The team focuses on long-term product development, architectural decisions, and evolving mobile practices, tooling, and codebase.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve the Android app, which serves a monthly audience of over 10 million users
- Apply modern development approaches, including coroutines, multi-module architecture, and Jetpack Compose
- Participate in concept discussions, propose and implement your own ideas
- Collaborate with frontend and backend developers and in-house designers
Requirements
- 4+ years of Android development experience
- Proficiency in Kotlin and hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose
- Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and multi-module systems
- Experience working with design systems and UI component libraries
Nice to have:
- Experience with writing custom Gradle plugins
- Familiarity with Ruby (Fastlane, CI scripting)
- General DevOps awareness (Docker, monitoring, observability tools)
- Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical support within teams
