About This Role
Building smart data models that enable teams to make better decisions every day is the core of this Analytics Engineer role. You will combine sharp SQL skills with a good sense for business, transforming messy data into clear models that analysts, dashboards, and machine learning can build upon.
Responsibilities
- Build clear, scalable, and tested data models with SQL and dbt
- Discuss and align data structures with analysts and product owners
- Collaborate with data engineers on smarter pipelines and architecture
- Clean, validate, and make data available for analysis
- Work with version control, CI/CD, and peer reviews as standard
- Share knowledge with colleagues through documentation, coaching, and code reviews
- Set up data modularly and maintainably for long-term use
- Logically connect technology and business with smart solutions
- Keep your knowledge up-to-date with new tools and techniques
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in analytics engineering or technical data roles
- Proficient with SQL and a programming language such as Python
- Experience with dbt and cloud platforms such as Big Query or Snowflake
- Understand how to set up and optimize data warehouses, pipelines, and flows
- Familiar with visualization tools such as Looker or similar
- Knowledge of data observability tools such as Monte Carlo is a plus
- Strong communication skills, also with colleagues without a technical background
- Fluent in Dutch
