Analytics Engineer

About This Role

This Analytics Engineer role at Encar.com, Korea's leading used car trading platform, is part of the data team. The position is responsible for designing enterprise-wide data standards and data models, and will help build a self-service analytics environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage the history of core data and metrics used by various organizations, such as vehicle, listing, dealer, member, and payment data
• Develop standard datasets into dbt models based on established definitions
• Document tables and metric descriptions to make them accessible to everyone
• Convert existing data marts, previously managed by analysts with SQL scripts, into dbt and Airflow-based pipelines
• Unify aggregation standards for core and sub-metrics and build a semantic layer
• Select and convert repetitive data requests into a self-service system for business organizations to directly query

Requirements

• 5+ years of practical experience in data analysis, analytics engineering, or data engineering

Nice to have:

• Experience standardizing and implementing metric or data definitions used by multiple organizations
• Experience designing and operating analytical data models such as data marts and standard datasets
• Experience developing data models and tests using transformation tools like dbt, and deploying/operating them through Git-based code reviews
• Experience operating workflow tools such as Airflow
• Experience building semantic layers or data catalogs
• Experience automating tasks using AI coding tools
