About This Role
This role is for an Analytics Engineer with a passion for data and Power BI, who can translate complex data into clear, reliable insights. You will go beyond building dashboards to think about underlying data structures, develop high-performing data models, and ensure data is available for reporting and analysis. You will join the Data & AI unit, which supports clients with data challenges from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize Power BI solutions, from data models to interactive dashboards and reports
- Build and maintain scalable data models and semantic layers for consistent and reliable reporting
- Work with Power BI, DAX, SQL, and other tools to transform, model, and analyze data
- Contribute to discussions on data governance, performance, reusability, and best practices
- Translate business requirements into concrete technical solutions and regularly align with stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Architects, and other colleagues to deliver high-quality end-to-end data solutions
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or a similar data function
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modeling and DAX
- Understanding of how to build high-performing and scalable data models
- Good knowledge of SQL and comfortable querying and transforming data
- Solution-oriented mindset, independent work ethic, and ability to clearly translate technical concepts to business stakeholders
- Fluent in spoken and written Dutch and English
- Willingness to travel to various clients in Flanders and Brussels, depending on the project and hybrid work agreements
Nice to have:
- Experience with semantic models and underlying technical architecture
- Experience with Fabric, or interest and motivation to learn it
- French language skills
