Analyst, Pricing

About This Role

The Pricing Analyst plays a key role in merchandising's strategic initiatives, competitive pricing analytics, and reporting. This position involves collaboration across all phases of design, development, communication, and change management, acting as a subject matter expert with routine interactions across various organizational leaders.

Responsibilities

• Be involved with strategic initiatives, analytics, and reporting
• Undertake analytical activities to develop new ideas and introduce processes
• Collect and manipulate data
• Build financial and operational models
• Create reports
• Present data findings and process recommendations
• Conduct pre and post financial measurement
• Manage relationships with 3rd party data collection companies
• Oversee data flows into the organization
• Clean up and maintain competitive data
• Develop and routinely distribute pricing reporting and metrics
• Work with pricing analysts to improve and enhance competitive position through price changes
• Support pricing analysts on special projects, activities, or short-term assignments periodically
• Act as a data leader and support pricing analysts, merchant teams, and others to complete ad hoc and planned analytical projects and report creation activities
• Be involved with other activities and projects as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to prioritize and manage to timelines
• Ability to work cross-functionally and maintain effective relationships with Buyers, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, IT, Store Ops, and Management
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing work priorities
• Proficient with verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in root cause analysis
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
• 2-4 years of applicable retail or marketing experience
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
