Analyst, IT Tech, IT Support

About This Role

This role is for an IT Technician to join the IT Team at Alness, with occasional travel to Caithness. The position involves providing robust support functions to ensure smooth operations for project teams, working collaboratively within the IT department and the wider business.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within the IT department and wider business for items including supporting new service go-lives and project delivery
• Ensure IT Operations tickets are created for every task undertaken, are appropriately updated, escalated where necessary, completed and closed in line with SLA and Service Desk processes
• Visit sites when required to set up IT equipment and ensure that all IT site setups are consistent and to the required standard and delivered according to the set KPI
• Certify that all office IT equipment is delivered and collected from users to support agile working
• Ensure all site IT systems and equipment, such as switches and wireless access points, are set up to the required standard, updated where applicable, fully documented, and where applicable, asset tagged and tracked in the IT Asset Database
• Support core systems within the desktop and mobile environment
• Work with users and the business in the deployment of company mobiles and mobile devices
• Assist with the deployment and ongoing support of Teams rooms VC suites across the business
• Assist IT Management in ensuring that IT department procedures and policies are followed
• Attend and engage in regular IT departmental and technical meetings to check on departmental achievements and issues, project progress, etc.
• Keep all applicable IT Server rooms, workshop areas, and project site deliveries tidy and free from safety hazards, and inform IT management of any requirements or issues
• Seek to understand business needs and demonstrate creative ways to improve IT processes
• Undertake any reasonable duties expected of you

Requirements

• Previous exposure in a Technical Operations role or equivalent
• Previous experience as a hands-on Support Engineer, desk side
• Practical experience of site IT delivery and support
• Excellent customer engagement, organisational skill and good patience
