About This Role

This Investment Banking Analyst role in the Energy sector focuses on executing a broad range of transactions and pitches. The position involves preparing client presentations and financial modeling, working closely with Associates and Associate Directors to support client relationships. The role contributes to the team's overall success by executing individual goals in line with business strategies and objectives, while ensuring compliance with regulations and internal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Champion a client-centric focused culture to deepen client relationships
• Leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge to deliver solutions and generate revenue
• Coordinate with various product groups and industry teams within Global Banking and Markets
• Develop and maintain effective industry relationships with legal counsel, external parties, and clients
• Evaluate and analyze the financial needs of corporate clients
• Create marketing materials and presentations
• Support transaction structuring and execution efforts, with increasing levels of responsibility and accountability over time
• Identify and develop business opportunities with clients
• Perform comprehensive financial statement analysis and create and maintain models
• Collect, consolidate, and interpret company and industry data
• Conduct financial and written analysis of companies and industries
• Apply product and capital markets knowledge to help clients achieve their financial objectives
• Actively contribute to a high-performance and inclusive work environment

Requirements

• 0-2 years’ work experience in Investment Banking
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Math, Engineering, Economics, Science or Technology
• SIE, Series 79 and Series 63 FINRA certification
• Strong quantitative skills focused on financial analysis, accounting and financial theory
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent command of Microsoft Suite, with an emphasis on Excel
• A high level of attention to detail
• A high level of energy and a keen desire to learn new concepts
