Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

About This Role

An Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis will support the airline's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This high-visibility role involves direct work with the CEO and CFO, and prepares materials for the Board of Directors, with analysis feeding directly into business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Excel-based financial models
• Support the annual budget, short-term forecasts, and the 5-year financial plan, including revenue, expense, and cash flow projections
• Develop and track KPIs that measure business performance
• Analyze budget and forecast variances and share recommendations with senior management
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Help prepare financial analysis and presentation materials for the Board of Directors
• Meet regularly with the CEO and CFO to walk through results, answer questions, and support key business decisions
• Partner with department leaders on budgets, strategic initiatives, and long-term planning
• Complete ad-hoc analysis and business cases for special projects
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned, with duties that may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, rush initiatives or technical developments)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and building large models from scratch
• Solid understanding of accounting and financial planning principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and dig into complex data
• Clear written and verbal communication, including presenting to senior leaders and explaining financial results to non-finance audiences
