Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other business intelligence platforms to visualize key metrics and trends.
• Design, implement, and optimize SQL databases and queries to support efficient data retrieval, analysis, and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into technical specifications for data models and dashboards.
• Manage the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) for analytics projects, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Build ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines using tools like Talend or custom scripts in Python, Bash (Unix shell), or VBA to ensure accurate data integration from multiple sources such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Conduct comprehensive data analysis using Excel data analysis techniques alongside R or Python for statistical modeling and predictive analytics.
• Support database design efforts by creating logical data models with Visio or similar tools while ensuring data quality and integrity through rigorous analysis skills.
• Perform requirements analysis for new analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals while adhering to best practices in dashboard development and query management.
• Engage in Agile project management methodologies to deliver timely solutions that meet evolving organizational needs.

Experience

• Proven experience working with SQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle in a professional setting.
• Strong knowledge of data visualization tools including Tableau, Power BI, or Looker with a portfolio of developed dashboards.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes using Talend or similar tools; familiarity with scripting languages like Python, VBA, or Bash is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability in database design, query optimization, and managing large datasets effectively.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies combined with experience in software development lifecycle analysis within analytics projects.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R or Python for statistical modeling and advanced analytics tasks.
• Excellent business analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex requirements into technical solutions; experience working within Agile teams is a plus.
• Strong understanding of business intelligence concepts including reporting standards, dashboard development, linked data integration, and visualization best practices.
