Job Description Your Mission This position is responsible for driving data strategy, product optimization, and advanced analytics across Shopee’s Payments, Wallet, and Financial Operations (FinOps) ecosystem. The role sits at the intersection of data science, product performance, and financial efficiency, transforming complex transactional data into scalable data products and automated frameworks. The Associate Data Analyst will design experiment frameworks, monitor feature rollouts, build predictive forecasting models, and perform deepdive fee analytics. Additionally, the role supports leadership decisions by optimizing payment workflows, tracking FinOps KPIs, and ensuring seamless compliance with financial and regulatory frameworks.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

• Product Experimentation & A/B Testing

• Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests for digital wallet features and checkout optimizations.

• Define sample sizes, establish statistical significance, and deliver recommendations to maximize product conversion.

• Feature Rollout Support

• Partner with Product Managers to monitor data health and performance metrics during progressive feature rollouts.

• Proactively flag anomalies or negative impacts on payment success rates.

• Fees & Take-Rate Analytics

• Conduct deep-dive analyses on payment processing fees, interchange costs, and user-facing take-rates.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and leakage across financial settlement pipelines.

• Predictive Forecasting Models

• Develop and maintain statistical forecasting models to predict transaction volumes, wallet balances, user churn, and processing costs.

• Help FinOps and business leadership plan capacity and budgets.

• Scalable Data Products

• Interpret and transform complex financial, regulatory, and business demands into scalable, structured data products, automated reporting ecosystems, and clean data architectures.

• Performance Dashboards

• Design and implement intuitive data visualization solutions and automated dashboards.

• Empower Product Managers, FinOps leads, and senior leadership with clear insights for strategic decision-making.

• Process Automation

• Proactively identify inefficiencies in payments, compliance, and financial workflows.

• Design and deploy automated data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL to eliminate repetitive manual tasks.

• Proactively identify inefficiencies in Risk & Compliance workflows and lead automation initiatives to optimize these processes across the teams.

• Data Analyst Coordination

• Oversee coordination and technical support for data analysts involved in compliance and risk-related data projects.

• Ensure quality and consistency of outputs.

• Drive operational efficiency while ensuring absolute financial and regulatory data precision.

Requirements What You Need to Take on This Challenge

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages and data analytics tools as SQL and Python
• Advanced English
• Relevant experience working in data-related fields
