About the role
Who we are We are a team that develop high-impact emerging logistics technologies to serve as the SDF logistics control tower and deploy these technologies across production plants.
Responsibilities This role is responsible for designing and developing real-time perception pipelines that enable AMRs to accurately detect and understand obstacles, objects, and surrounding environments within factory settings through 2D/3D LiDAR and camera-based environmental perception, sensor fusion, and 3D vision technologies.
■ Sensor Integration and Perception Pipeline Development
- Developing point cloud preprocessing and filtering algorithms (e.g., noise removal, downsampling, and ground removal)
- Developing multi-sensor fusion algorithms (including LiDAR-camera calibration and data fusion)
■ Object Detection and Tracking
- Developing object detection and classification models for pedestrians, obstacles, moving objects, and other relevant entities
- Implementing multi-object tracking (MOT) algorithms using approaches such as Kalman Filters, SORT, and ByteTrack
- Estimating 3D bounding boxes and object distance and velocity
■ Intelligent Perception Algorithm Development
- Developing collision prediction and risk assessment algorithms
- Distinguishing dynamic and static obstacles and performing trajectory prediction
- Developing deep learning-based semantic segmentation and instance segmentation models
- Applying few-shot and transfer learning techniques to ensure robustness against environmental changes
■ Training Data and Model Operations
- Designing on-site data collection frameworks and building annotation pipelines
- Designing model performance metrics—including mAP and precision/recall—and driving continuous model improvement
- Optimizing model compression and inference on edge devices, such as Jetson platforms and embedded GPUs, using TensorRT, ONNX, and INT8 quantization
- Optimizing algorithms using CUDA and GPU parallel processing and designing and optimizing multithreaded and multiprocess architectures
■ ROS 2-Based System Integration
- Developing ROS 2-based perception nodes and designing interfaces with navigation and planning modules
- Optimizing real-time processing performance and tuning latency
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Perception or Computer Vision
- Proficiency in at least one of Python or C++, along with hands-on experience with ROS or ROS 2
- Those who have practical experience applying deep learning frameworks, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Those who have development project using 3D LiDAR or RGB-D cameras
- Those who have experience using point cloud processing libraries, such as PCL or Open3D
- Those who have experience developing or applying object detection or tracking models, such as YOLO, PointPillars, or CenterPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Those who have perception development experience in autonomous driving, logistics robotics, or industrial AMR environments
- Those who have experience developing perception systems integrated with SLAM, including dynamic environment perception
- Those who have experience developing 3D object detection systems based on LiDAR-camera sensor fusion
- Those who have experience developing safety-related perception algorithms, such as collision prediction and trajectory prediction
- Those who have experience optimizing TensorRT or ONNX inference in edge GPU environments, such as Jetson AGX or Orin
- Those who have experience designing dataset construction and annotation pipelines for training models using proprietary data
- Those who have research or development experience using public autonomous-driving datasets, such as KITTI, nuScenes, or Waymo
- Those who have publications in academic conferences or notable achievements in major AI competitions, such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, or NeurIPS
