Duties
As an Aircraft Mechanic (Aircraft Pneudraulics Systems Mechanic), WG-8852-12, you will provide on-equipment maintenance for General Test & Test Aircraft. Prepare aircraft for, and perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance and modifications. Additionally, you will responsible to troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, modify, test and service aircraft electrical and Weapons systems, sub-systems, components, and accessories of aircraft and engines. And assist other journey level mechanics and specialists as required to maintain assigned aircraft. You will also:
Functionally test, inspect and troubleshoot a variety of specially instrumented, test, pre-production, standard and modified high performance, test modified, jet fighter/trainer aircraft systems and aircraft Pneudraulics systems.
- Perform ground handling and servicing of assigned aircraft, including the preflight, post flight, launch, recovery, refueling, towing, washing, lubricating, jacking, and other common maintenance tasks.
Remove, inspect, repair, overhaul, reinstall and replace standard and test modified aircraft and Pneudraulics system components.
Maintain aircraft and maintenance records.
Qualifications
