Duties
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Aircraft Electronic Warfare Specialist (Instructor). Incumbent of this position will perform the following duties:
• Provide ground and airborne instruction to reservists, flight examiners, and electronic warfare specialists in the B-52 aircraft.
• Analyze and interpret unit training objectives to maintain the highest level of combat mission-ready proficiency of assigned crewmembers.
• Participate in and manage a variety of administrative duties related to electronic warfare and weapons system instruction and mission accomplishment.
• Fly as an aircrew member in the B-52 aircraft.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the flying hours requirement below, qualify for a USAF Navigator or equivalent Naval or FAA Rating, and be currently qualified (within the last 36 months) as a B-52 Aircraft Electronic Warfare Specialist (Instructor) in a flying component of a U.S. Military Establishment. (Active Duty or Reserve)
Flying Hours Required:
Aircraft Electronic Warfare Specialist (Instructor), GS-12
- Must have logged 750 hours as a Navigator and/or Aircraft Electronic Warfare Specialist, in a military aircraft. Must be currently qualified (within the last 36 months) as a B-52 Aircraft Electronic Warfare Specialist (Instructor).
NOTE: Flying hours logged as a student Navigator and/or Aircraft Electronic Warfare Specialist are creditable.
