Air Traffic Terminal Controller

About This Role

This role involves performing duties as an Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) Air Traffic Controller and contributing to the training of Air Traffic Control personnel. Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of an IFR Air Traffic Controller
• Assist in training Air Traffic Control personnel
• May be required to assume the duties of Lead Terminal Controller as applicable
• Ensure all assigned deliverables and other reports are completed accurately and on time
• Visibly demonstrate Serco Values and work practices while completing duties
• Other related duties relevant to this position as may be required

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Canadian Forces, or Transport Canada/Nav Canada, or ICAO equivalent Air Traffic Control License
• A previous Terminal endorsement is required
• Must be able to pass and maintain a Transport Canada Class II aviation medical
• Must have or be able to obtain a Transport Canada Radio Operators certificate
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Level II security clearance is required

Nice to have:

• Experience in controlling military fighter jets and/or working in a complex terminal/arrival environment
