Air Traffic Controller - Tower

About This Role

This air traffic controller role provides 24/7 operational aerodrome and approach control services, as well as flight information and alerting services. The position ensures a safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of traffic for all aircraft operating within the assigned areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 (shift pattern) operational Aerodrome Control Service
• Provide Approach Control Service
• Provide Flight Information Service
• Provide Alerting Service as appropriate
• Ensure a safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of traffic for all aircraft operating within assigned areas of responsibility

Requirements

• Successful completion of relevant ICAO courses
• ICAO English Level 4 language proficiency
• Valid ATC license
• Valid relevant medical certificate
• Proven ability to work in a complex, high density environment, unique to dans with respect to innovative procedures, e.g., RECAT, RRSM, APO, A-SMGCS, etc.
• All aspects of aircraft performance relevant to communication, navigation, and surveillance
• General computer literacy (commercial PC software packages and smart applications)
• For external recruitment, a minimum of three (3) years continuous operational duties at a major international unit, having successfully passed an APC
• ATC License copy (including current ratings)
• Ratings copy
• ATCO Medical copy
• ICAO & ELP
• LVL - License verification letter
• Analytical skills
• Working under pressure
• Spatial awareness and problem-solving skills
• Teamwork skills
• Good communication skills
• Required Nationality: All Nationalities (Priority for UAE National)
