AI Strategist, Product

About This Role

This role is for an AI Strategist who will solve the problem of AI pilots not translating into real workflow changes for large clients. You will own client engagements from initial executive conversations to the successful adoption of new AI-driven workflows. Your work will involve partnering with engineers to ship solutions, adapting to rapidly evolving technology, and ensuring measurable AI-native outcomes for clients.

Responsibilities

• Own the relationship at the C-suite level, serving as the primary contact for critical matters and delivering honest feedback
• Run AI strategy audits to identify actual work processes, quantify issues, and prioritize valuable AI initiatives
• Design and execute sprints to accelerate strategic, product, and technical decisions
• Build workflows hands-on with Forward-Deployed Engineers using SaaS, low-code platforms, and frontier agentic tooling
• Drive adoption of workflows post-launch to ensure practical use and impact
• Translate field learnings into playbooks for future engagements across the firm

Requirements

• 3 to 7 years at the intersection of strategy, operations, product, or workflow design, ideally in consulting, an AI-native company, or a fast-growth startup
• A track record of redesigning a workflow or process, with the ability to detail changes, reasons, and outcomes
• Daily, hands-on use of the modern agentic AI stack (Claude, Cowork, ChatGPT, Cursor, Lovable, Zapier/n8n, and emerging tools), actively building with them in multiple contexts
• Strong discovery instincts, skilled in asking questions that reveal actual work processes
• Credible with executives and engineers, able to translate client demands into technical direction and engineering jargon into clear client communication
• A bias to ship, automating manual workflows proactively
• High ownership, low ego, and a builder's instinct

Nice to have:

• Background as Chief of Staff, ops lead, PM at an AI-forward company, management consultant (McKinsey Digital, BCG X, Bain Vector), service designer (IDEO, Fjord), or founder
• Published writing, public speaking, or other public artifacts demonstrating your point of view on applied AI
