AI Product Director
San Francisco Bay Area (Hybrid – Remote Initially)
Up to $300,000 Base + Bonus + Relocation Support
THE COMPANY
Our client is a family-owned fintech transforming B2B lending through production-grade AI. Rather than experimenting with AI, they already have AI agents live across underwriting and credit decisioning, powered by 18 years of proprietary lending data. The next phase of growth focuses on expanding AI across Sales, Customer Lifecycle, Finance and Capital Markets, delivering measurable commercial outcomes across the business.
The business is currently remote while establishing a Bay Area office, before moving to a hybrid working model. Relocation support is available for candidates moving to the area.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the chief credit officer, you'll lead multiple AI transformation programmes, managing two AI Product Managers while overseeing 2–3 concurrent AI initiatives.
Working alongside business SMEs, you'll map existing workflows before redesigning them from the ground up using AI. This is a true 0-1 product role, focused on building entirely new AI-powered processes rather than automating existing ones.
You'll own product strategy and execution, write design briefs for engineering teams, manage external partners and ensure AI products successfully move from concept into production. Success will be measured through tangible business outcomes, including revenue growth, operational efficiency and productivity improvements.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience delivering 0-1 AI products that transform business processes
- Product leadership experience within a scaling fintech or technology business
- Experience owning both product strategy and execution
- Strong stakeholder management with senior business leaders and SMEs
- Experience writing product specifications and working closely with engineering teams
- Experience contributing to AI solution design and architecture
- Track record delivering production AI products with measurable commercial impact
