About the role
Role:
Early Childhood Teacher supporting out-of-school time programs for elementary-aged children on school grounds.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers, modeling behaviors and providing feedback.
- Implement curriculum tailored to meet each child's unique needs.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment conducive to play and learning.
- Partner with parents to ensure high-quality care and education.
- Collaborate with center staff and leadership to achieve enrollment, accreditation, and engagement goals.
- Build positive relationships with families, staff, licensing authorities, community contacts, and partners.
Qualifications & Skills
- Outstanding customer service and organizational skills, with ability to multitask effectively.
- Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or NAEYC candidacy; preferred state trainer status.
- 2-3 years early childhood education experience; preferred Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications, meet state-specific qualifications.
- Physical ability to lift at least 40 pounds, work indoors/outdoors, and engage physically with children.
- Proficiency in English for communication with children and parents.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly range of $16.90 to $22.85, with benefits including discounted child care, health insurance, employee assistance programs, wellness initiatives, paid time off, and discounts on work necessities.
