Job Title: Aerospace NDT Specialist – Ultrasonic & Eddy Current (UT / ET)
Location: Tukwila, WA (100% Onsite)
Position Type: Contract Labor (12 Months)
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $48/ hr
Position Summary
Seeking an Associate / Experienced Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Specialist to join the In-Service NDT team in Tukwila, WA. This role focuses on authoring NDT technical procedures, developing CAD calibration standards, and supporting equipment setup and inspection protocols for in-service aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Procedure Authoring: Author and revise Non-Destructive Test (NDT) procedures in coordination with method-responsible Level III reviewers.
- Calibration & CAD: Develop Computer-Assisted Drawings (CAD) for specialized calibration standards.
- Equipment Setup: Perform setups for NDT and measurement equipment to match precise calibration standards.
- Inspection Figures: Compose procedure figures illustrating inspection locations, part geometry, probe/transducer placement, accessibility, and notch signal responses.
- Reporting: Identify, track, and report potential adverse trends or anomalous inspection results.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of education or experience in NDI (Non-Destructive Inspection) or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing).
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite .
- Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, occasional weekends, and in confined spaces as needed.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 15% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of related NDT work experience or Associate Degree (AA) in a related discipline.
- 800+ hours of Ultrasonic Testing (UT) & 300+ hours of Ultrasonic Shear-Wave Testing.
- 800+ hours of Eddy Current Testing (ET).
- Experience with CAD Software .
- Hands-on experience writing UT & ET inspection techniques and procedures.
