Adult Education Part-Time High School Completion Teachers Job Description MSAD 54 Adult Education is seeking one or two teachers to work with high school completion students in all subject areas starting in the Fall of 2026.
For the fall and spring semesters, HiSET orientation classes will be held in two satellite locations. One will be held at Carrabec High School in North Anson. The fall session will be on Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00-6:00 p.m., 9/21-11/18/26. A second class will be held at the Somerset Connect Center (former Quimby School) in Bingham. The fall session will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:00-6:00 p.m., 9/22-11/12/26.
Specific duties include teaching HiSET orientation classes, student tutoring, exam preparation, practice test proctoring, and file documentation/record keeping. Training will be provided as needed.
Approximately 48 hrs. of work at each location per semester. Starting pay will be $24-$26/hour depending upon experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or relevant field
- Experience working with adult learners (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues, students, families, and community partners
- Adult education or 7-12 certification (any subject area)
