About the role
Builds back-end logic, custom components, and OSGi services on top of the Adobe Experience Manager CMS platform, requiring strong expertise in Java, Apache Sling, and the Java Content Repository (JCR).
Key Responsibilities
- Component & Template Design: Build custom, reusable WCM components, templates, and dialogs using HTL/Sightly and Coral/Granite UI.
- OSGi & Service Development: Write OSGi bundles, services, and custom Sling servlets to handle complex server-side business logic and HTTP requests.
- System Integration: Integrate AEM with external RESTful APIs, third-party digital assets (DAM), and enterprise databases.
- Performance & Architecture: Configure Apache Dispatcher, caching rules, and security practices to ensure high platform scalability.
- Deployment & Testing: Use Maven, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or Adobe Cloud Manager) to deploy code updates.
Required Technical Skills
- Core Java: Solid command of Java 11 or higher, object-oriented design, and multi-threading principles.
- AEM Foundations: Deep knowledge of CRX/JCR, Apache Sling, Apache Felix OSGi, and Sling Models.
- Platform Exposure: Experience with AEM 6.5 or AEM as a Cloud Service.
- Build Tools: Maven, Jenkins, or Git version control.
- Front-End Basics: Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to bridge front-end templates with back-end data.
- Experience: Typically 5+ years working as core Java developer and 2+ years as architect in AEM enterprise environment.
