About This Role

An Administrator in healthcare management oversees the daily operations of a skilled nursing facility, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing admissions and discharges, and coordinating clinical and support services. This role is based on-site and involves managing budgets, supervising department leaders, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facility operations, including regulatory compliance, resident admissions and discharges, and coordination of clinical and support services
• Manage budgets and monitor financial performance, ensuring effective use of resources
• Supervise department leaders and support staffing and scheduling
• Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture
• Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare partners, and payers
• Implement quality improvement initiatives that enhance resident care and satisfaction

Requirements

• Leadership and management skills, including team supervision, decision-making, and conflict resolution
• Organizational and administrative skills, such as scheduling, policy implementation, and documentation oversight
• Financial and operational skills, including budgeting, billing coordination, and familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid processes
• Communication and interpersonal skills for working effectively with residents, families, staff, and external partners
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, compliance standards, and quality improvement practices in skilled nursing facilities
• Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced healthcare environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality
• Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field; advanced education is a plus
• State-specific nursing home administrator license or eligibility for licensure, as required by regulation
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or healthcare administration is strongly preferred
