About the role

Duties

  • Maintains the flow of information in/out of the division; maintains schedule of activities, arranges meetings, conferences and/or workshops; collects time and attendance; tracks personnel actions.
  • Serves as travel lead and point of contact for federal travel within the division.
  • Tracks, monitors, and briefs the division chief on the operational budget for the division.
  • Executive assistant for the NIFC governing board, setting up, preparing for, attending and recording all quarterly and ad hoc meetings.
  • Responsible for communication flow related to work on office space. Coordinate space requests with engineers and/or division chief.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience Requirements: In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - please be sure to include this information in your resume. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade of the position to be filled.

To qualify for the GS-07 grade level, 1 year of creditable specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 is required. Examples of work experience include, but are not limited to: Experience in a secretarial, clerical, or administrative office position, performing administrative tasks independently, preparing correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, databases, manuals, and other documents using office computer software applications to process time and attendance data. Experience with records management, organizing and maintaining of a filing system.

To qualify for the GS-08 grade level, 1 year of creditable specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 is required. Examples of work experience include, but are not limited to: Experience in a secretarial, clerical, or administrative office position, performing administrative tasks independently, preparing correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, databases, manuals, and other documents using office computer software applications to process time and attendance data, and providing direction and oversight to other staff. Experience with records management, organizing and maintaining of a filing system. Experience in applying administrative, budget, and personnel management concepts/practices, to devise procedural requirements, implement office practices, forecast problems and needs in administrative procedures and practices, and resolve administrative problems.
