About the role
Duties
Assist in liaison activities with agency officials, high level staff from the state department, and other federal agencies, public interest groups, American Indian tribes and tribal consortia, foreign governments, and others to provide and exchange information. Serves as the scheduler for the DAA's, arranges meetings, prepares daily calendars and frequently updates schedules to account for last-minute changes. Accurately tracks versions of all draft materials. Proofreads final materials for clarity and to ensure that the materials are free from errors in spelling and grammar. Has primary responsibility for assembly and quality control of briefing books. Makes travel arrangements for the Deputy Assistant Administrators. Prepares TA's, vouchers, international travel plans, and ensures that all international trip reports are loaded into FIAT in a timely manner.
Qualifications

We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:
To qualify for the GS-11 level, you need to have at least one year of full time experience equivalent to the GS-09 level defined as: 1) experience providing programmatic and administrative support to managers and/or executives; AND 2) experience in utilizing a variety of software applications to accomplish day to day office functions - OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., in any academic discipline.
Your answers to the on-line assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing with high level officials. Ability to maintain often complex schedules that are subject to change on short notice. Ability to proof read and correct a variety of materials. Able to work collaboratively with other staff to plan and complete assignments on schedule. Knowledge of EPA's record management processes and policies. Ability to use automated travel systems to make often complex arrangements for official government travel including international travel. Knowledge of agency travel policies and procedures. Ability to use Excel effectively. Ability to use Power Point to develop or edit presentations. Ability to use MS Word to format complex documents.
