About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator L3 / Senior Unix Systems Engineer to join an international operations team. This role is ideal for a proactive systems administrator with strong expertise in Linux, AIX, and Solaris environments , capable of managing complex infrastructures with limited supervision.
You will work in a multicultural environment, collaborating with global teams in English while supporting critical Unix platforms, monitoring infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring operational excellence in line with established SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support Unix/Linux production environments.
- Perform Unix and cluster operational activities.
- Execute standard run operations and maintenance tasks.
- Administer and support AIX environments, including legacy AIX versions.
- Handle incidents, problems, service requests, and change management activities.
- Conduct regular system health checks and performance monitoring.
- Implement and align system parameter changes.
- Monitor and maintain AIX infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex system and hardware issues.
- Collaborate with international teams and follow operational procedures and SLA commitments.
Required Skills & Experience
✅ 5-8 years of Unix/Linux administration experience
✅ Strong Linux system administration background
✅ Solid expertise in:
- Red Hat Linux environments
- Linux OS and hardware troubleshooting
- Linux servers in virtualized environments
- VMware administration and concepts
- SAN technologies and storage concepts
- DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP protocols
- IBM Power hardware technologies
✅ Experience working with remote data centers
✅ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
✅ Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Nice to Have: Linux certifications such as: RHCT, RHCE or LPIC
