About the role
Role: The Trauma Medical Surgical Acute Care Nurse provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support physical and psychological needs.
Responsibilities: Conduct assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, document patient information, educate patients and families, maintain equipment, and communicate patient needs. Perform patient rounding to enhance satisfaction and ensure quality standards. Demonstrate knowledge of human development, appropriate treatment, and technical procedures. Utilize nursing processes to meet patient needs effectively.
Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience, graduation from an accredited nursing school, current licensure, BLS certification, and a commitment to obtain Med-Surg certification within one year.
Skills: Strong assessment, communication, technical skills, and patient-centered care.
