About This Role

This actuarial consulting role at Nyhart, part of FuturePlan by Ascensus, involves providing expertise and client relationship management for retirement plans. The position is critical for the growth and development of the company's actuarial consulting business and includes mentoring actuarial analysts.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise and consulting with the design, management, administration, and communication of retirement plans for a client base of private, public, and church plans
• Oversee and review both recurring (such as funding valuations, government filings, benefit calculations) and non-recurring (such as plan design, assumption studies, plan de-risking, plan termination) client projects
• Serve as primary contact and relationship manager to clients, responsible for the retention and growth of client relationships
• Help to identify and develop new business through excellent customer service, networking with other professionals, and being active in related organizations
• Serve as technical expert and promote sound actuarial practices
• Provide direction and training, including assigning, directing, and evaluating work
• Encourage a collaborative team environment that values knowledge and idea sharing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Economics, or related field
• 10+ years pension-related consulting experience
• ASA/EA required
• Proven client management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Superior analytical ability
• Strong presentation skills
