Cranberry Township, PA – Casual; Hourly, Non-exempt

Starting Pay: $16.00/hour - $19.00/hour; Depending on experience (with CTRS Certification, $19.00/hour - $21.97/hour; Depending on experience)

The Activities and Lifestyle Engagement Assistant is responsible for assisting in conducting and developing the Lifestyle Engagement Program for residents, creating and maintaining a commitment to purposeful programming through the enhancement of the four pillars of successful aging (Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical, and Social). As well as, demonstrating, understanding, and putting into practice a person-centered philosophy to help develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, and team members.

Requirements for the Activities and Lifestyle Engagement Assistant:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college or technical school is preferred; or a minimum of one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in programming with older adults in a health care environment is preferred.
  • Experience in memory care (dementia or Alzheimer’s).
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated while performing job duties.
  • Knowledge, training and interests in arts, crafts, music, and recreational activities strongly preferred.
  • Be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with residents, resident families, and team members.
  • Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with both residents and team members.
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork.
  • Enjoy multi-tasking since every day is different.
