Accounts Payable & Title Clerk

About This Role

This role is for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Title Clerk to join an accounting team. The position is responsible for processing accounts payable transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and handling vehicle titling and registration paperwork. It suits a candidate with strong accounting skills and exceptional attention to detail, who can manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for payment
• Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and files
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and account inquiries
• Process all vehicle title and registration paperwork accurately and timely
• Submit title applications and related documents to appropriate state agencies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for keyboarding and office equipment
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry files, office supplies, and boxes weighing up to 25 pounds
• Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the office as needed

Nice to have:

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
• Previous accounts payable experience
• Automotive dealership accounting and title processing experience
• Knowledge of vehicle title laws, registration procedures, and lien processing (will train the right person)
