Accounts Payable Officer

About This Role

An Accounts Payable Officer is needed to manage a busy, high-volume AP function for a fast-growing technology and infrastructure business. The role involves end-to-end accounts payable across multiple entities, projects, and currencies, suiting someone who is proactive in closing out tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable across multiple entities and projects, with a high volume of supplier invoices
• Review purchase orders, approvals, and coding, and match invoices accurately
• Process high-value CapEx and asset-related invoices for construction projects
• Allocate costs correctly across projects, assets, and cost centres
• Manage supplier prepayments and multi-currency invoices and payments
• Onboard suppliers and review employee expense claims
• Own the AP inbox, working through supplier, procurement, and project team queries until they are resolved
• Support month-end close, including accruals and reconciliations
• Keep AP processes compliant with internal controls and audit requirements, and suggest improvements along the way

Requirements

• Solid experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable role
• Strong understanding of purchase orders, invoice matching, and approval workflows
• Understanding of how AP transactions flow through to the General Ledger, including accruals and month-end
• Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environments
• Well organised, with strong attention to detail and the confidence to follow up with the business
• Available to start immediately

Nice to have:

• CapEx, construction, infrastructure, engineering, or data centre experience
• Intercompany experience
• NetSuite experience (training will be provided on the new procurement system)
