Accounts Payable Executive

About This Role

The Accounts Payable Executive processes and verifies invoices, manages vendor records, and ensures timely payments, playing a crucial role in the finance department. This position suits a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting skills and experience in accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, purchase bills, and payment requests accurately and on time
• Verify invoices against purchase orders, goods receipts, and supporting documents
• Check expense bills and ensure proper approvals from the authorized management
• Maintain vendor records, ledger accounts, and outstanding payment details
• Prepare payment schedules and coordinate with the Head Office for timely payments
• Perform vendor account reconciliation and resolve discrepancies
• Verify bills received from branches, satellite centres, laboratories, and other service providers
• Ensure invoices are properly approved and comply with company policies and SOPs
• Track pending invoices, payment due dates, and vendor outstanding balances
• Maintain records of invoices, payment vouchers, debit notes, and credit notes
• Coordinate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment status, and pending documents
• Assist in bank reconciliation and monthly accounts closing activities
• Maintain accurate documentation for internal and statutory audits
• Update accounts payable data in accounting software and Google Sheets/Excel
• Coordinate with branch teams, cashiers, and the Head Office regarding bills and payments
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounts payable reports as required
• Perform additional duties assigned by management

Requirements

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting
• B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance
• Good knowledge of accounts payable processes and invoice verification
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
• Knowledge of vendor reconciliation, payment processing, and basic accounting principles
• Understanding of GST invoices, TDS, and related compliance requirements
• Marathi (Mandatory), Hindi, and English languages

• A detail-oriented professional with good communication skills, strong follow-up abilities, accuracy in financial documentation, and the ability to coordinate with vendors and internal teams
