About This Role
An Accounts Payable candidate with experience is sought to join a successful manufacturing organization in Fleckney. The role involves taking ownership of the end-to-end purchase ledger process across multiple group companies and building strong relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner, matching purchase orders and obtaining approvals for payment
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice, payment and purchase order queries
- Generate and process supplier payments in multiple currencies, including scheduled and ad hoc payments, ensuring accurate allocation within the cash book
- Maintain payment schedules, direct debit records and accounts payable databases to support effective cashflow management
- Monitor the Accounts Payable inbox, managing invoices, statements and supplier correspondence
- Reconcile and maintain the Goods Received Not Invoiced register and Preliminary Invoice reports, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Support the wider finance team with administrative duties and providing cover for colleagues where required
Requirements
- Proven Accounts Payable experience within a busy finance environment
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end Accounts Payable processes
- Experience of processing high-volume and high-value transactions accurately
- Previous experience managing payments in multiple currencies
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and reconcile financial information
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Well organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
