About the role

Job Summary

Accounts Manager, Property Asset Management, Mumbai, BKC.

As an Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for managing client finance and accounting operations at the site in accordance with the Property Management Services Agreement. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient financial management of the property.

Responsibilities

  • Receive vendor invoices and update records in Tally and the invoice tracking system.
  • Verify invoice accuracy, prepare invoice approvals, and obtain authorization from the Property Manager before forwarding them to the back-office team for accounting entry.
  • Process vendor payments through the bank portal and conduct vendor reconciliations twice a year, including obtaining balance confirmations.
  • Ensure accurate generation of Common Area Maintenance (CAM), utility, and other tenant invoices, while monitoring collections and updating accounting records.
  • Manage GST compliance, including GST reconciliation, return filings, and liaison with GST authorities when required.
  • Prepare TDS calculations and ensure timely filing of TDS returns.
  • Prepare and finalize the Balance Sheet and financial statements in consultation with statutory auditors and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare year-end expense reconciliation reports and monitor tenant collections, credits, and recoveries.
  • Track outstanding receivables and coordinate follow-up actions for payment defaults.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports and review them with the Compliance and Liaisoning Manager.
  • Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and year-end recovery processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal financial controls.

Reporting

You will report directly to the Property Manager.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting and financial management skills, with exceptional attention to detail. You should be able to maintain accurate financial records, analyze data effectively, and ensure compliance with financial and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting and finance.
  • Good working knowledge of Tally, accounting principles, and GAAP.
  • Experience in budgeting, cost control, preparation of financial summaries, cash flow statements, account reconciliations, and financial reporting will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance processes.
