Accounting Technician, Accounting Advisory Services

About This Role

Working in the firm's Accounting Advisory Services practice, the Accounting Technician performs bookkeeping activities and supports financial and tax filings for a diverse client base. This role suits a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic who can provide excellent client service.

Responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping activities for a variety of clients, including payroll and GST/PST filings
• Prepare working paper files, including financials and corporate tax returns
• Respond to client requests and inquiries on a day-to-day basis
• Support the preparation of year-end financials and tax filings by working with various team members to complete tasks
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate service delivery

Requirements

• Previous experience in bookkeeping, ideally within a public accounting office
• Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Effective time-management and self-motivation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and other standard software

Nice to have:

• Experience with Caseware, QuickBooks, Sage and Xero
