Responsibilities
- Prepare and post adjusting journal entries and accrual estimates on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis to maintain accurate financial records
- Reconcile asset and liability general ledger accounts, analyze revenue, and expense general ledger accounts monthly
- Resolve discrepancies and provide analysis to ensure accurate reporting and assist business decisions
- Processes the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing and ensure timely and accurate financial statements
- Understand revenue flow and related accounting processes to help reconcile systems
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
- Assist with the year-end audit by preparing necessary documents and coordinating with external auditors
- Serve as backup for the AP/AR team to ensure seamless coverage is in place
- Document key accounting procedures for training new employees
- Participate in various ad-hoc projects as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5-7 years of accounting/finance experience withing financial services
- Experience focusing on monthly close, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Salary Range $120,000-$130,000
