Accounting Specialist

About This Role

This part-time accounting job supports the accounting team by processing vendor invoices, preparing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role suits a detail-oriented and organized individual with strong communication skills and proficiency in QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and enter vendor invoices into QuickBooks
• Process bi-weekly check runs and ACH payments
• Maintain accurate vendor files and records
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status
• Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely payments

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of vendor management and payment processing

Important Details

• Schedule: Part-time, 20-30 hours per week, Monday-Thursday
• Reports to: President/Controller
