Accounting Specialist

About This Role

The Accounting Specialist supports accounts receivable, contract validation, data entry, and communication with media owners and agency partners within the Finance team. This junior-level role is critical for ensuring financial accuracy and maintaining strong relationships with external partners, suiting a reliable, process-driven individual comfortable in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform AR collections, including outreach to agencies and partners regarding outstanding payments
• Respond to billing, payment, and general financial inquiries from Media Owners in a timely and professional manner
• Complete data entry tasks within Adkom systems and/or QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records
• Review and validate contracts from agencies and sign owners to ensure correct terms, pricing, and documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams—including Finance, Operations, and Account Management—to resolve discrepancies and support smooth financial workflows
• Assist in process improvements, documentation updates, and system accuracy initiatives
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, finance operations, or a related field (preferred but not required for strong junior candidates)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow structured processes accurately
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment
• Comfort navigating evolving systems and technology
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship (now or in the future)

Nice to have:

• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
