Accounting Specialist

About This Role

This Accounting Specialist role is for an experienced professional to join the Finance team in Italy. The position involves managing daily administrative and accounting activities, with a focus on financial processes related to commercial and sales operations. It suits someone with practical experience in Italian accounting and a good understanding of financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage active and passive invoicing and daily administrative activities
• Issue and record invoices and manage electronic invoicing / SDI
• Prepare and manage supplier payments
• Record and control bank movements
• Support bank, customer, and supplier reconciliations
• Monitor credits, debits, deadlines, and payments
• Prepare periodic financial and administrative reports for management
• Support monthly and annual closing activities
• Collect and organize accounting, tax, and administrative documentation
• Collaborate with the accountant and external consultants for Italian tax and accounting compliance
• Support the implementation, updating, and application of internal Finance and Accounting policies, procedures, and rules
• Support the standardization of administrative, accounting, and financial processes
• Support Finance Management in control, reporting, and process improvement activities

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience in accounting in Italy
• Practical knowledge of Italian accounting and tax regulations and procedures
• Experience in managing invoices, payments, accounting records, and reporting
• Good knowledge of Excel and main administrative-accounting IT tools
• Spanish at least C2 level, necessary for communication with the parent company in Spain
• Precision, reliability, and ability to organize work independently

Nice to have:

• Experience gained at dealerships or automotive groups, vehicle importers or distributors, automotive manufacturers / OEMs, industrial companies with significant commercial and sales activity, or companies with high volumes of invoicing, purchases, and financial transactions
• English B2 level or higher
• Native Chinese speaker
• Experience in using SAP or other ERP systems
• Previous experience in listed companies or groups belonging to listed companies, with exposure to structured Finance, Accounting, reporting, and internal control processes
• Experience or participation in Finance process digitalization and transformation projects, such as implementation or optimization of ERP, accounting systems, approval workflows, automated reporting, or digital financial management tools
