Accounting Specialist

About This Role

The Accounting Specialist provides management and external users with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts. This role is central to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions within the company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files and perform general cost accounting
• Prepare monthly balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other financial reports required by management
• Reconcile monthly bank accounts, payroll and other financial accounts
• Develop, maintain, and analyze financial records to track assets, liabilities, profit and loss or other financial activities
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Provide support during annual audit process and assistance to perform annual tax filings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in accounting or related field, required
• At least three years of related experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Self-confident, creative, innovative
• Can work at all levels of the organization
• Can make something complex easy to understand
• Can move from strategic to detailed focus easily
