About This Role
This Accounting Manager role involves overseeing a varied client portfolio and leading a team within PwC's Connected Tax Compliance group. You will deliver high-quality accounting services by understanding client needs and collaborating with colleagues across different service lines. The position suits a professional who can build strong client relationships and identify new opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, reporting to the Director in charge
- Be involved in the financial management of clients
- Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
- Contribute to the development of your own and the team
- Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
- Assist in the management and delivery of large projects
- Train, coach, and supervise staff
- Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
- Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in accounting and tax compliance
- Strong accounting knowledge, particularly in local GAAP; IFRS is an advantage
- Very good knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards and tax legislation
- Prior supervisory experience
- Excellent project management and presentation skills
- Strong English language skills
- Computer skills, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, accounting software (Dynamics 365 BC is a plus)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly adaptable and open to change
