About the role
This role ensures accurate financial management, tax compliance, and effective project financial control for a property developer in Muar, including progressive billing, SST treatment, and development cost monitoring.
Key responsibilities
- Manage full set of accounts for the company and its property development projects
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and variance analysis reports
- Monitor cash flow, project budgets, and overall financial health
- Record and track development costs, revenue, and project expenditures accurately
- Ensure proper handling of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation
- Implement and monitor progressive billing according to project milestones
- Track development costs vs budget, including land acquisition, construction, and project overheads
- Conduct project profitability analysis and advise management on financial decisions
- Prepare and review corporate income tax, SST, RPGT, and other statutory tax submissions
- Prepare financial reports for management, board of directors, and regulatory authorities
About you
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in property development accounting or finance
- Strong knowledge of progressive billing, SST, RPGT, and Malaysian tax regulations
- Excellent financial analysis, planning, and project cost control skills
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, SQL, or MYOB) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
