Accounting Coordinator

About This Role

The Accounting Coordinator processes accounts payable and deposits at Divisional Headquarters, reporting to the Finance Director/Controller. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely payments.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices for payment in Serenic, including general ledger coding and documentation review
• Review vendor statements for past due balances and resolve discrepancies with vendors
• Print AP checks and maintain payables files under records retention policy
• Prepare daily deposits and receipts, enter them in Serenic, and update the cash position
• Enter journal entries in Serenic and maintain journal files
• Reconcile weekly settlements and transfer funds
• Complete special analysis or projects

Requirements

• One year of college or technical school and/or one to three years of related experience
• Basic accounting and Excel skills
• Ability to organize work, set priorities, and meet deadlines across multiple tasks
• Clear verbal and written communication with a customer service approach
• Ability to keep information confidential and handle difficult situations professionally
