Accounting Clerk

About This Role

Working in the Accounting Department, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for the operational performance of the department, ensuring professional and ethical representation of Area Diesel Service, Inc. This role involves financial reporting and accounting functions, taking initiative in developing and maintaining accounting principles, and forecasting the financial health of the company.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records to reflect the financial condition of the company’s case management and reconciliation
• Provide financial reporting to management including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statements
• Negotiate and manage employee Healthcare Insurance annually
• Verify and pay Accounts Payable monthly accounts
• Manage employee expense reports, including verification of expenses and reimbursements
• Prepare and process Quarterly Reports for State and Federal Taxes
• Prepare year-end 1099’s for appropriate vendors

Requirements

• Accounting, Finance, or Business Management degree with an emphasis in accounting or years of on-the-job experience
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting areas
• PC proficient and have experience with QuickBooks, Word, and Excel
• Solid and effective communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills
• Must be able to use discretion due to handling of the company and employees’ sensitive and confidential financial and/or personal details
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Important Details

• Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM day shift, no nights or weekends
