Accounting Clerk

About This Role

The Accounting Clerk helps maintain financial transaction records and prepares accounting reports for the company. This role involves ensuring transactions are properly recorded, following internal accounting procedures, and reviewing and reconciling schedules, ledgers, and accounts. It suits a candidate with an accounting degree who is ready to apply their skills in a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain a business record of financial transactions carried out by the company
• Prepare relevant accounting reports of financial activities as assigned
• Ensure all transactions are properly recorded as per established guidelines
• Follow all procedures relating to internal accounting in order to maintain the company’s financial security
• Review, research, reconcile, and assure the accuracy of schedules, ledgers, and accounts

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or higher in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in Accounting
• Strong work ethic with an emphasis on integrity, time management, accountability, efficiency, teamwork, and thoroughness
• Ability to analyze and perform complex calculations
• Strong Customer Experience and people skills
• Knowledgeable of basic accounting and reconciling processes
• Detailed oriented, organized, and self-motivated
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external Customers, in person, over the phone, and via fax or email
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM depending on lunch
